The wide end should extend about 12 inches below the narrow end. Cross the wide end over the narrow end.
Bring the blade up and through the gap between the collar and tie and then back down.
Bring the blade underneath the narrow end and pass to the left, then back through the loop and left again so that the blade is inside out.
Bring the blade across the front, from the left to the right.
Bring the wide end through the loop again once more.
Push the blade through the loop.
With one hand on the narrow end and one on the knot, gently draw the knot up to the collar.
The Windsor Knot is a thick, wide and triangular tied knot that projects confidence. It is best suited for cutaway collar shirts.
